2. Hamburg Metal Dayz concluded successfully

The second edition of the Hamburg Metal Dayz took place last weekend as part of the Reeperbahn Festival. Musicians and business insiders witnessed shows by Children of Bodom, Rage and Caliban as well as a large number of other attractions.

As a conclusion of the year‘s festival season for Metal, the Hamburg Metal Dayz took part from Sep 27th to 29th. The promoters of the Wacken Open Air had once more invited Metalheads and music professionals to the city‘s Markthalle to three days of music and and extensive supporting programme.

Fans were able to meet every band at the signing sessions or witness workshops by guitar virtuoso Victor Smolski (Rage) and shoutcoach Thomas Fischer, a teacher for extreme singing. Expert discussions featuring international speakers proved to be highly interesting for all visitors, touching topics like „The truth about touring“ and „Money in the music business“. During a panel with Holger Hübner and Thomas Jensen, the men behind the Wacken Open Air, fans could ask directly about the world‘s biggest Heavy Metal festival and provide praise or criticism.

Commented Holger Hübner of ICS Festival Service GmbH:„We are very satisfied with how the second Hamburg Metal Dayz turned out and with the reactions of fans and business insiders to the programme. People were able to enjoy a great mixture of live Metal with a lot of background information and entertainment about their favorite music, while the professionals were provided with a perfect opportunity to meet and network.“
